Meanwhile, the Red Devils continue to monitor Liam Delap, and his reported £30million relegation release clause, and are interested in bringing in Wolves Matheus Cunha alongside him.

The Red Devils have been put on alert with Everton expecting to lose Jarrad Branthwaite this summer, SunSport can exclusively reveal.

  • Fan banned over Grealish slap

A Man Utd fan who is charged with assaulting Manchester City ace Jack Grealish at the end of Sunday’s Manchester derby has been banned from Old Trafford.

Alfie Holt, 20, is alleged to have slapped 29-year-old Grealish as he walked off the Old Trafford pitch following the 0-0 draw.

Grealish was walking towards the tunnel at the end of the Premier League game when Holt is alleged to have beckoned him over and raised his hands to the England midfielder.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: 'Alfie Holt, 20, of Droylsden, has been charged with assault. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court in July.

“This charge relates to an incident which took place at Old Trafford Football Club.?/p>

  • Mainoo shows off new look

Kobbie Mainoo trained with his Manchester United team-mates on Wednesday and sported a new look as he prepares to return from a two-month absence.

The 19-year-old debuted a new haircut and an earring as he trained at Carrington on Wednesday ahead of Thursday's Europa League quarter-final at Lyon.

He has been absent since picking up a muscular issue in training in February.

  • Liam Delap release clause revealed

Man Utd have made Liam Delap a key transfer target ahead of the transfer window.

So they will be delighted by reports claiming the striker has a release clause of just £30million if Ipswich get relegated, which looks likely.

His buyout clause was otherwise set at £40m.

  • Peter Schmeichel shares Ferguson doubt

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has opened up about the one moment in time where he DOUBTED Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 61-year-old told That Peter Crouch podcast: "The first time, where I really thought the guy was losing it and not understanding what he was doing, was in the summer of 1995.

"When three players, who would start every game if they were fit, Mark Hughes, Paul Ince and Andrei Kanchelskis, left the club and no-one came in.

"And he puts five kids in the first team squad - he puts Nicky, Gary, Phil, Scholesy and Becks.

"Ryan was already in the first team dressing room, so he would've been the sixth.

"But you're thinking what's going on here? And of course, we open up with a defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.

"But the boys were great and I mainly thought it was strange that he didn't bring at least one player in during the summer."

  • Onana vs Matic

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana fired back after being savaged by ex-Red Devil Nemanja Matic ahead of Thursday's Europa League quarter-final with Lyon.

It all started when Onana said: "I think we are better than them, we just have to go there and show who we are. If we go there with a winning mentality and we are focused, stay compact and together and we follow the game plan we will be winning the game.

"We know some of them, but I don't think we have to focus on them. It's more about us, what we're going to do. Of course it’s not going to be easy, but I think we are way better than them."

Lyon star Matic responded: "To say that, you need to have cover. Onana? Pfft, I respect everyone but to say that then you need to get the answer.

"If you are one of the worst goalkeepers in Man United history, you need to take care what you are talking. If David de Gea or Peter Schmeichel or [Edwin] Van der Sar said that, I would question myself.

"But if you are one of the, statistically, worst goalkeepers in Man Utd's modern history then, you know, he needs to show that [he is much better] before he says [that]."

And Onana replied on Twitter: "I would never be disrespectful to another club. We know that tomorrow will be a difficult game against a strong opponent.

"We focus on preparing a performance to make our fans proud. At least I’ve lifted trophies with the greatest club in the world. Some can’t say the same."

  • Jarrad Branthwaite Exclusive

Manchester United have been put on alert with Everton expecting to lose Jarrad Branthwaite this summer.

The Toffees are facing a huge summer overhaul at the end of the season, with just 11 senior players currently under contract for next season.

While defender Branthwaite has a deal running until 2027, with an option to extend by another year, senior figures at Goodison Park have already accepted he will depart.

United failed in a bid for the England Under-21 international last summer, while SunSport can reveal the Toffees rejected a significant bid from a Premier League rival on deadline day in January.

The Red Devils are expected to return again this summer as they look to build a squad capable of playing Ruben Amorim's style, with the Everton man valued at over £50million.

But United will not be alone. Tottenham have previously expressed an interest in the 22-year-old and could return should one of Cristian Romero depart this summer.

  • New Man Utd target

Manchester United have set their sights on Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Moussa Yeo.

The Mali Under-20 international has shone this season to help his club vie for the Austrian league title.

And reports in Africa claim United officials have identified the 20-year-old as a potential summer target.

Yeo is valued at around £7million, and is under contract with Salzburg until 2027.

He has made 31 appearances for them this season, scoring five goals and setting up four more.

Old Trafford boss Ruben Amorim plans a sizeable shake-up of his underachieving squad, with the futures of midfielders Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte uncertain.

  • Marcus Rashford advice

Manchester United hero Louis Saha claims Marcus Rashford needs to change his attitude to be successful at Old Trafford.

    Saha told :

I think he can go back to Manchester United, but he needs to change his personality and mindset.

He has proved on the pitch what a top player he is, but all of this ego stuff he has to get rid of ?it’s as simple as that. If you want to destroy defences and help the team be successful, you have to do it in so many different ways.

It’s not about his teammates or the manager, it’s about him and until his attitude changes we won’t see the real Marcus Rashford.

I, like many, am a big fan and was really upset when he left Manchester United because of the reasons for it breaking down at Old Trafford, but especially more the way he is performing at Aston Villa.

He has no excuses. It’s not about people, tactics or connections with the fans and it’s ‘b*******?for me anyone who says it is. It’s his job to find solutions and adapt.

I do believe he can do it and if he decides to do it, I genuinely think he can do it anywhere in the world.

  • Keane slams Man Utd

Manchester United legend Roy Keane criticised his former team for the "lack of quality" against Manchester City.

There's a real lack of quality. No atmosphere.

City have dominated possession, United have sat in.

But it's a derby game, there's no energy in the stadium. This is a friendly derby!

    Roy Keane
  • Gary Neville criticism

Manchester United legend Gary Neville was furious after Sunday's goalless draw with Manchester City.

Especially after spotting both teams hugging and chatting at full-time.

It should have more blood, thunder, risk, and courage involved in playing the game.

The congratulations and love-in I'm watching says both teams are happy with 0-0.

It looks like it's Sunday afternoon and they're going to go for a roast dinner together now.

It's like we've got to a point in football where teams are frightened to death to give the ball away, make a mistake, take a risk.

They're all so obsessed with shape... nothing off-the-cuff is happening in lots of games.

    Gary Neville
  • Ferdinand hits back

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has called out former team-mates Roy Keane and Gary Neville for their "unrealistic" expectations of the club.

Keane and Neville both slammed their former team for failing to put on a show in the boring Manchester derby, which ended in a flat 0-0 against Manchester City.

But Ferdinand believes both of his fellow greats aren't judging Man Utd in their current practical state.

The expectations that Roy is talking about is the Man Utd that he played in.

Where a 0-0 draw against anybody at home is unacceptable. You're disappointed immediately.

But this team aren't there. They got beat by Nottingham Forest last Tuesday. So to think that you're going to beat Man City...

Or that you should be expected to beat City on the back of defeat to Forest is wild to me. It's not realistic.

  • Rashford PSG links

Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford almost joined Paris Saint-Germain before his loan move to Aston Villa?and is still in talks with tonight's Champions League opponents.

According to , Rashford came extremely close to a move to PSG in the summer of 2022.

In fact, the Parisians wanted the versatile forward to come in and replace Neymar in the starting line-up.

At least three meetings took place between the club and the England international's entourage.

Talks went so well with then sporting director Leonardo that the 27-year-old gave the "green light" for a move to Ligue 1.

However, a deal fell apart in May of that year after PSG axed Leonardo and there is a strong feeling that if the Brazilian chief had stayed then Rashford would be playing for Paris tonight.

Nevertheless, the same source reports talks have been revived between the Man Utd ace and Leonardo's replacement Luis Campos.

  • Matheus Cunha interest

Manchester United are tipped to open talks over recruiting Wolves star Matheus Cunha.

According to Give Me Sport, United are close to launching negotiations with Cunha’s representatives.

Until now, the Gunners have been rated as the versatile forward's biggest admirers but Man Utd are also in contention.

Therefore, a transfer war looks very likely between the two Premier League giants.

  • Liam Delap details

Manchester United have made Ipswich Town star Liam Delap their top target for the summer transfer window.

United have identified Delap as their preferred option up top ahead of Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres, RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and Napoli's Victor Osimhen, who's on loan at Galatasaray.

The striker has emerged as a favourite amongst the hierarchy at Old Trafford as manager Ruben Amorim prepares to be backed financially in the summer.

The England Under-21 international , who has scored 12 goals in 30 Premier League appearances, is thought to be available for £40million if the Tractor Boys get relegated, which is very likely.

  • Victor Osimhen price

Napoli star Victor Osimhen, who currently plays on loan at Galatasaray, is again being linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

And it’s suggested Osimhen will leave the Partenopei this summer with Galata thought to be out of the running for a permanent deal.

And the Italian giants are hoping to receive around £55million for the striker.

It’s also claimed the Nigeria international has already decided he wants to join a Prem team next season.

  • Kobbie eyes Europa League return

Kobbie Mainoo could be about to make his first Manchester United appearance since February - in a huge match.

The midfielder, 19, has been sidelined for over six weeks due to a muscular problem.

    Credit: Getty

Mainoo missed the Manchester derby last weekend but could be in the squad to take on Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday.

Boss Ruben Amorim confirmed: “Kobbie Mainoo is training with us.

“We want to be careful, again, with our players, but maybe he’s going to be in our squad.?/p>

  • Utd tipped to miss out on reunion with legend

Astonishing suggestions that Manchester United will try to re-sign David De Gea have been played down.

It was claimed last week the Red Devils would consider attempting to lure back the 34-year-old keeper from Fiorentina.

But transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reckons it’s unlikely.

The Spanish stopper shone at Old Trafford from 2011-2023.

But Romano : “Fiorentina are set to activate the option to extend David de Gea’s contract for one more season.

“After excellent performances this season, de Gea’s contract will now be valid until June 2026.?/p>

  • Delap & Cunha linked to Utd & Arsenal

Manchester United are tipped to open talks over recruiting Matheus Cunha – but Ipswich’s Liam Delap remains their main target.

Both strikers have also been linked to Arsenal.

But GIVEMESPORT claim the Red Devils are close to launching negotiations with Cunha’s representatives.

The 13-cap Brazilian, 25, has grown in prominence for Wolves since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2023, although disciplinary problems have cast a shadow this season.

Until now, the Gunners have been rated Cunha’s biggest admirers.

But United are rated the clear frontrunners for English ace Delap, 22.

Old Trafford boss Ruben Amorim has seen big-money recruits Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggle up front.

And it’s reckoned a reliable new frontman is a summer priority for Amorim as well as Arsenal chief Mikel Arteta.

  • Chid's play hailed as so mature

Manchester United fans were in ecstasy after Chido Obi’s wondergoal for the Under-21s.

Obi, 17, joined the United academy from Arsenal last summer and has already broken into Ruben Amorim’s first team this season.

    Soccer players on a field.
    Soccer game in progress.

Obi came off the bench against Tottenham, Everton and Leicester in the Premier League ?and Fulham in the FA Cup.

But he was back in Premier League 2 action for the U21s on Monday.

Obi scored twice ?including a stunning solo goal ?in a 3-3 draw against Nottingham Forest to take his tally across the Premier League 2, FA Youth Cup and U18 Premier League to 14 in 13 games.

It didn’t take long for United fans to flood social media, one saying: “We made the right decision snatching him from Arsenal. Serious talent.?/p>

Another wrote: “That is absolutely ridiculous, abnormally good. U21 football or not.?/p>

A third added: “This is a ridiculous goal.?A fourth commented: “Simply too good for that level.?And a since-deleted tweet labelled Obi the “best striker at the club?/a>.

  • United, Arsenal and Chelsea tipped to trail Victor

Victor Osimhen is again being talked up for a summer switch to the Prem.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been mentioned in connection with the Galatasaray loanee.

    Credit: Getty

And it’s suggested the 26-year-old is likely to depart parent club Napoli this summer.

Galatasaray are thought to be out of the running for a permanent deal.

Instead Napoli hope to receive around £55million for the Nigerian.

It’s also claimed Osimhen has already decided he wants to join a Prem team next.

  • Delap 'remains United'stop target'

Manchester United are being linked with a string of world-class striker - but Liam Delap remains their top target.

That's the claim tonight as Old Trafford chief Ruben Amorim reportedly eyes a new frontman and midfielder.

Delap is tipped to leave Ipswich even if they pull off a miracle escape and stay in the Prem.

United could trigger his £40million release clause.

But there could be a an intriguing complication - if Delap's neighbours Man City decide to activate a buy-back option.

Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool are also reportedly monitoring the 21-year-old.

  • 'Jarrad still a top Utd target'

Manchester United are tipped to come back in for Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite.

Caught Offside reckon the Red Devils are lining up a new offer for the £50million-rated star.

Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are out of contract at Old Trafford in the summer.

And Lisandro Martinez has been plagued by injury problems.

So United boss Ruben Amorim is expected to target at least one new experienced defender this summer.

  • Rio rejects Keane's 'wild' derby criticism

Rio Ferdinand disagrees with fellow Manchester United legend Roy Keane's scathing verdict on Sunday's 0-0 derby draw.

United had the better chances in a tame Prem stalemate at home to Pep Guardiola's stuttering Man City.

Keane rebuffed claims it was a "good point" for the Red Devils - because he reckons that shows how far standards have dropped.

But Ferdinand turned that view around - suggesting a draw was satisfactorily precisely due to United not being as good as they were.

The former England defender told his : “The expectations that Roy is talking about there is the Man Utd he played in where a 0-0 draw at home against anybody is unacceptable.

This team aren’t there, at that place.

“They got beat by Notts Forest last week so to think that you’re going to beat Man City or expecting to beat them is wild to me. It’s not realistic. Four points off City this season. We’ve overachieved.?/p>

  • United linked to Atalanta ace

Manchester United's search for a new anchorman could turn to Atalanta.

The Red Devils are reportedly keen on three-cap Brazilian Ederson.

GIVEMESPORT say club chiefs believe the 25-year-old fits the profile for a defensive midfielder - as a younger version of his compatriot Casemiro.

But it's also reckoned Ederson will be keen to play European football next season.

    Credit: Rex

  • Red Devils tipped to consider Everton striker

Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be a surprise Manchester United target.

That's according to , who reckon the Red Devils are pondering a free transfer approach for the striker this summer.

It's reckoned a string of clubs are looking at Calvert-Lewin’s situation.

The 28-year-old has endured a spluttering season at Goodison Park, not helped by injuries.

Old Trafford chief Ruben Amorim might fancy a more traditional frontman - at least as back-up.
