Masters 2025 LIVE RESULTS: Rory McIlroy in tears after FINALLY winning at Augusta but Scheffler branded ‘classless’

RORY McILROY fell to his knees and later broke down in tears after he FINALLY WON the Masters and got his hands on the prestigious Green Jacket.
After what has been more than a decade of heartbreak at Augusta, Rory won the Masters title to complete the Grand Slam and cement himself as one of the elites.
He had to do it the hard way after going to a play-off with Ryder Cup team-mate Justin Rose, as McIlroy had missed a five footer for par on the 72nd green.
But the golfing great held his nerve to win that elusive Masters crown before later breaking down in tears during a TV interview.

Is Tiger Woods playing?
One of the biggest talking points surrounding the Masters 2025 is whether Tiger Woods is among the entrants.
Woods, 49, is regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time, with the American holding 15 major titles to his name.
But the American superstar will NOT feature at this year's Masters, unfortunately.
And SunSport can confirm the reason why below
Top Trump
Donald Trump has named the three golfers he would like to win the Masters this Sunday - and claimed they are all his "friends".
The US president, 78, is a keen golf fan and owns several courses around the world.
Trump said: "They're all friends of mine. They have some great ones.
"Scottie Scheffler's great. Bryson [DeChambeau] is great. Justin Rose, they're all friends of mine."

Hatton coming close
Tyrell Hatton had a good first 15 holes yesterday, and was tied for second with Bryson DeChambeau while also chasing Justin Rose for the lead.
But, now he is three from leader Justin Rose.
On holes 16 and 17, Hatton struggled to keep up the high standards he had shown in the first 15 holes, and fell behind.
He recovered with a par on hole 18, but was unable to put real pressure on DeChambeau or Rose.

Augusta spectacle
Welcome to SunSport's coverage of the Masters tournament 2025.
England’s Justin Rose currently leads the way at -8, with Bryson DeChambeau behind him on -7.
Rory McIlroy, chasing his first green jacket, is currently on -6, alongside Corey Conners.
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler just behind McIlroy, on -5.
On the penultimate day of action, Justin Rose will be keeping his eyes on a green jacket, knowing that Northern Irish international McIlroy is chasing him down.
McIlroy came into the tournament in fine form, but needs all the form and help he can get if he wishes to win the tournament for the first time.
Two-time Masters winner Bernhard Langer had to said his goodbyes to Augusta yesterday, missing the cut on +3.
Fred Couples and Phil Mickelson also had to say goodbye.
Tom Kim will be the first to tee off Round 3, at 2:50pm BST.
