QPR have rejected a bid for teenage midfielder star Josh Bowler from Everton.
The playmaker, 17, made his first-team debut against Norwich on the final day of the Championship season.
And Get West London claims Hoops chiefs turned down an approach from the Toffees as they fight to keep the youngster.
Academy graduate Bowler is seen as a big part of the club's future plans as Premier League scouts start to take notice.
Alex Smithies and Ryan Manning are also reported to be attracting interest.
Play-off finalists Huddersfield have been linked with stopper Smithies, 27, who came through their academy before joining the R's in 2015.
