MIDDLESBROUGH have lined up Garry Monk and James Beattie to guide the Teesiders back to the Premier League.
Recently relegated Boro are believed to be close to appointing a new manager after deciding against keeping Steve Agnew at the helm.
And the Championship side have reportedly 'agreed' a deal for the former Leeds duo to take over at the Riverside in the next few days according to Radio Yorkshire journalist Derek Clark.
He wrote on Twitter: "I'm led to believe Garry Monk & James Beattie have agreed to take over at Middlesbrough & should be announced in next few days."
Monk shocked Leeds when he resigned from his post in May after failing to reach an agreement over a new deal with the club's hierarchy.
The former Swansea boss guided the Whites to seventh in his first season in charge before walking away from the club.
