The Dragons will need to battle for a result to keep their qualification hopes for Russia 2018 alive.

Wales currently stand four points behind Serbia and second-placed Republic of Ireland with five World Cup qualifiers remaining.

The Euro 2016 semi-finalists have drawn their past four games and will rely on the likes of Aaron Ramsey to provide some spark in Bale's absence.

The squad have had plenty of time to prepare, though.

Coleman has known he will be up against it since Bale picked up a yellow card for his reckless challenge on John O'Shea in Dublin at the end of March.

Wales know they cannot afford a defeat in Serbia if they hope to back up their Euros heroics with their first World Cup appearance since 1958.
