CONOR MCGREGOR has taken a shot at Floyd Mayweather's age by purposely confusing him with his dad.
Ahead of the rumoured boxing match between the two superstars, UFC legend McGregor has thrown shade on his 40-year-old potential next opponent.
Mayweather looks set to return to the ring after almost two years away from the sport with he faces McGregor on the proposed date of August 26.

The former five-division world champion, who was unbeaten as a fighter, now works as a promoter after retiring in 2015 with 49 fights and 49 wins.
But he is tipped to put his gloves back on to shut up mouthy McGregor, 28. who has agreed to his side of the deal and applied for his boxing licence to allow him to fight in Las Vegas, the rumoured host city.
And the Irishman posted a picture to his Instagram of Mayweather back in the gym recently alongside a young sparring partner.
The caption read: "Man, much respect to Floyd Senior still getting a few rounds in at the gym. I hope I can still train at that age. Respect."
Mayweather's father, Floyd Mayweather Sr, 64, is a former champion boxer himself and famously trained his son to become one of the greatest ever fighters.
It comes as Mayweather's promotion company has booked the MGM Grand in Vegas for Saturday, August 26 this year for a “boxing event”, according to the Nevada State Commission’s website.

As Mayweather Promotions has no other boxing event coming up, this suggests the former world champion and McGregor have FINALLY set a date for their proposed cross-sport blockbuster bout.
Fuelling the fire even more so is the fact his last 12 fights have been at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand.
The ball is now in Mayweather’s court and his signature is all that is left to get the fight of the century – supposedly worth one billion dollars – underway.
While Mayweather has been tight-lipped, McGregor recently teased fans by tweeting: "Something BIG is coming."
The two-time UFC champ, who has had his hands tied looking after his son Conor McGregor Jr, could have been hinting toward the booking - and this war of words will only set tongues wagging even more.
