MANCHESTER CITY are close to poaching one of Barcelona's brightest talents in Eric Garcia.
The central defender has shone in the Catalan side's academy this season and Barcelona chiefs are confident that he could rise to the very top.
But it appears his development could be away from the Nou Camp at Pep Guardiola's Man City accordinding to Spanish publication
The report claims that Garcia's representatives met with chiefs at Barcelona and told them that he will not sign a new contract with the Spanish giants.
Garcia, 16, has reportedly agreed a three-year deal at the Etihad and wants to join City's impressive youth set-up.
City's academy is one of the best in the business after owners pumped millions into developing their impressive training complex.

Garcia is expected to earn around £750,000 during his three-years in England - an offer that can't be matched by Barcelona.
The move is set to cause more anger from Barcelona after City attempted to sign three of their youth prospects earlier this year.
Deals for Pablo Moreno, Nico Gonzalez and Ansu Fati all reportedly fell through.
City have moved quickly in the transfer market to splash out a world record £34.7million fee in goalkeeper Ederson from Barcelona.
They are also thought to be on the verge on finalising a deal to land Monaco ace Benjamin Mendy in a £39.8m move.
