EVERTON have made their second signing inside 24 hours in Ajax captain Davy Klaassen.
The Toffees have splashed out £23.6million on the Holland international and he joins the Premier League side on a five-year deal.
Ronald Koeman's side have now spent £48.6m this summer following the arrival of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Klaassen, 24, scored 49 goals in his 163 appearances from midfield with the Dutch giants and won three Eredivisie titles.
Speaking to Everton's official site, he said: "It is difficult to leave Ajax but I think this is a good step for me now.
"The moment that I spoke with the manager directly I got a good feeling. He is an honest guy, we talked about the club, about the way he wants to play and that gave me a positive feeling."
Klaassen was captain of the Ajax side that lost to Manchester United in the Europa League final in May.

But he will now have another crack of the whip in the competition under his fellow Dutch boss after Everton's seventh place finish.
Koeman added: "He is a player who is only 24 but has a lot of experience and is a leader on the pitch. He has already captained Ajax for two seasons and that shows you the type of person he is.
"He is hardworking, likes to press and, of course, will give us more creativity and goals."
The signing has cast doubts over the future of Ross Barkley who has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park.
