And Meunier  has decided to cash in on the thirst for knowledge by jokingly setting up a text news service.

Asked by a supporter if he could confirm the world-record deal, Munier replied:  "Want to know if Neymar is coming? Text RECRUITS to 75016 (€220,000,000 per SMS sent/received)."

Earlier this week, stunning reports emerged that PSG were willing to meet Neymar's £195m release clause.

The wealthy Ligue 1 outfit are desperate to make a splash in the market and would bypass Barcelona with the huge offer.

Neymar would then face the decision of whether to stay in Spain or head for Ligue 1.

He is desperate to step out of Lionel Messi's shadow as he feels he cannot continue his growth at Barcelona.
