TOTTENHAM are favourites to land wantaway Ross Barkley but face serious competition from their Premier League rivals.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman dropped a bombshell on Wednesday after revealing that the England international will leave the Toffees this summer.
The club have slapped a £50million price-tag on the midfielder which Premier League clubs are refusing to match.
But with just one-year left on his contract, Everton will be forced to lower their asking price in order to find Barkley a new club.
And according to the Daily Mail's Dominic King, Barkley will not be short of potential suitors with Spurs leading the pack.
He told BBC 5 Live: "There's a lot of clubs looking at him [Barkley], for a lot of reasons.
"He's a young English player, and they're scarce on the market.
"I would say Tottenham would be favourites at the moment, but I would think a lot of clubs in the top six will be looking at him, Arsenal among them.
"Manchester United, Chelsea will be keeping an eye on the situation.
"I would think before the end of the window there would be some resolution to this."
Barkley was offered a new deal to extend his stay at Everton but he 'wanted to leave for a new challenge.'
He is currently on the road to recovery following successful surgery on a groin injury.
He was ruled out of Everton's pre-season tour of the Netherlands and is expected to miss the first Premier League match of the season.
