Barcelona ‘hold talks with Kylian Mbappe’ as they prepare to splash the cash from Neymar’s sale
BARCELONA have held shock talks with Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.
The Spanish giants are lining up a replacement for Neymar as he closes in on a world-record £198million move to Paris Saint-Germain.
And they could use their huge wad of cash to pip rivals Real Madrid to the signing of Monaco wonderkid Mbappe.
The French side are reluctant to lose another one of their star players but could find an offer around £160m too much to turn down.
And according to , Barca have already made progress in landing his signature having held talks with the player's agent.
The 18-year-old is one of Europe's most wanted stars having bagged 26 goals in all competitions last season.
He has a new contract offer on the table at Monaco but it looks increasingly likely that Mbappe eyes his future away from the French champions.
But he is not Barca's only target as they plot a stunning double raid on the Premier League.
Boss Ernesto Valverde wants both Philippe Coutinho AND Eden Hazard to bolster his attack.
Liverpool's Coutinho has been a long-term target and Barca have already been knocked back in their attempts to sign him.
It is believed the Reds rejected an offer of £70m for the Brazilian as Jurgen Klopp continues to issue a hands off warning.
And Barca are also lining up a staggering £100m move for Chelsea's Eden Hazard.
The Belgian is seen as the perfect replacement for Neymar on the left flank.
