Samoa Joe refuses to rule out a sensational WWE return for CM Punk and speaks on potential tag-team
The 38-year-old remained tight lipped on his pal's future but said whatever the UFC star does, it will be on his own terms
SAMOA JOE says he cannot rule out a return to WWE for CM Punk.
Punk is currently in limbo after quitting WWE to join UFC but after disappointingly losing his debut fight in an octagon his future is now uncertain.
Joe is set for an epic fatal 4-way match for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam against the champion Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
Speaking on his good friend, Joe said whatever decision Punk makes, it will be on his own terms.
Joe said: "You never know with Punk.
"He is definitely somebody who does things his own way and I think the biggest thing is that you can never count out what his next move will be.
"I think no one would have predicted his move to UFC, nobody would have predicted a lot of things he does, so whatever he chooses to do, he will do what feels best in the moment."
Punk reportedly earned £380,000 for his debut UFC match against Mickey Gall but he is yet to have a second fight match since his first-round loss.
Punk controversially left WWE after he fell out with Triple H and WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
The 38-year-old famously had his microphone cut off during a live show which saw him lift the lid on his hatred for the WWE and the McMahon family.
And with a potential return on the cards, Joe is unsure if he would like to form a dominant tag-team with Punk or a dream match against his friend.
