Manchester United transfer news: Red Devils to up interest in Danny Rose but accept they may have to wait until next season to get Tottenham defender
Jose Mourinho is expected to add more additions to his squad before the end of the transfer window, according to reports
MANCHESTER UNITED are considering making two more signings during the transfer window, according to reports.
the Red Devils are interested in signing Tottenham left-back Danny Rose as well as another player.
Rose has been linked with a move to Old Trafford despite the fact that he is still recovering from a long term knee injury.
The report states the United boss is interested in bringing in defensive reinforcement as Luke Shaw and Ashley young continue to recover from injuries.
But, according to the report, United are ready to step their interest up as the left-back recovers from his own injury.
The Tottenham left-back, 27, is likely to stay at Spurs with club chiefs reiterating their position that they do not have to sell any players.
Although the England international stoked rumours that he may be set for a transfer after admitting he wanted to move back to the North of England to play football in the future.
In an exclusive interview with SunSports, he said: "I will say this, too — I will play up north.
"I don’t know exactly when, but I will get back up north and play some football somewhere.

"I moved away from home (from Leeds to Spurs) at 16."
He continued: "I am going to make it my priority before I retire to play football up there."
The reports also claims that the Old Trafford club are interested in making another attempt to sign Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic.
Jose Mourinho targeted Perisic, 28, at the start of the summer with the two clubs playing hardball over a fee since.
Jose Mourinho's men have already had three transfer bids knocked by Inter this summer.
The Serie A side most recently rejected a reported £45million bid for the Croat.
Inter are thought to have insisted on having Anthony Martial included in any deal for Perisic but United, who have no intention of selling the French winger, dismissed the offer.
Despite facing difficulties in the transfer window, Mourinho believes United's recruitment has been "fantastic" this summer.
A week ago, Mourinho said: "I was hoping for four players to improve the squad.
"And the club did a fantastic job, absolutely fantastic, by getting three of them, which is difficult in the crazy market where we are now.
"To get three out of four, I thank the club for that. I would be happier if they gave me four of four but they did a great effort for me."
