The injury news will compound Eagles boss Frank de Boer's week after his home debut ended in a 3-0 defeat to Premier League new boys Hudderfield.

Zaha was the club’s second top scorer Premier League scorer only to Christian Benteke last season with seven goals.

The Ivory coast international played the full 90 minutes of Saturday's match at Selhurst Park.

But was consistently fouled and was brought down on four occasions by Huddersfield players.

The former Manchester United winger was the most fouled player in the Premier League last season on 121.

In May he signed a new five-year Palace deal to dash Tottenham’s hopes of landing him.

Zaha said: “I spoke with Steve [Parish] and I think I still have more to give this club.
