Claims Floyd Mayweather was knocked out ahead of Conor McGregor fight leaves Twitter completely unconvinced

Stunning reports claiming that undefeated American fighter was floored are untrue as same story surfaced years ago

TWITTER users have described reports claiming Floyd Mayweather Jr was KO’d after sparring with old rival Zab Judah as "horses***".

The undefeated American fighter takes on UFC star Conor McGregor a week on Saturday.

💎McGregor v Mayweather Tips: 11/8 Diamond💎

CONOR McGREGOR is used to 15-minute fights in the UFC and he will not go the distance.

Sun Bets go 11/10 that there will be fewer than nine completed rounds.

That is an extraordinary price given that one of the fighters has never had a professional boxing fight and one has a 49-0 record.

And reports from Las Vegas claim Mayweather has suffered a huge shock ahead of the bout after being floored by Judah during training.

But the astonishing claims have been shot down by boxing fans on Twitter, who point out that the same story emerged before Mayweather's win over Manny Pacquiao.

The new tale appeared to gain legs after Judah gave Mayweather a tough time during their 2006 fight.

He was reportedly drafted in for the training camp along with Errol Spence Jr, and additional reports claimed Judah gave Mayweather more than he bargained for after collapsing his fellow countryman during a “wild exchange”.

Mario Saunders tweeted: “World from inside #TMT, Zab Judah knocked out @FloydMayweather in Sparring during a wild exchange where both boxers began to brawl.

“Apparently Floyd kicked everyone out of the gym afterwards. More to come. Zab was mimicking Conor and just came right after him.”

👊McGregor v Mayweather Tips: 12/1 beast👊

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is no KO machine.

His last knockout victim was Victor Ortiz in 2011 but that was shrouded in controversy. Before that, he previous victim had been Ricky Hatton in 2011.

So even though we expect this fight to be one-sided, it will not end straight away.

Mayweather will toy with the inexperienced McGregor and we love Sun Bets' 12/1 that Money wins it in the fifth.

However, many believe this to be false, with one user saying: "If that really happened you certainly wouldn't know it. Floyd would never allow that to get out of his gym walls."

Another said: "Fake news to make the hype bigger," with one user adding: "Fake news, we are not this stupid, this is Floyd trying to make people think Conor has more of a chance."

This isn’t the first time there’s been a training camp controversy ahead of the August 26 fight.

McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi have been involved in a war of words after the Irishman posted a picture of his sparring opponent on the ground.

Malignaggi claims he had been pushed over and was furious the picture had been shown to the world.

But a new video has emerged showing McGregor dropping his opponent with a brutal flurry of blows, leading to Malignaggi proposing a fight in 2018.

💎McGregor v Mayweather Tips: 5/2 Diamond💎

IT IS 5/2 that Floyd Mayweather will win by KO, TKO or DQ.

That is a scarcely believable price.

McGregor simply does not have the boxing muscle memory to compete and has built his career in the 15-minute fights on the UFC.

It will not go the distance.

Sun Bets make it 5/2 that Mayweather will win by KO, TKO or DQ.
