Former Manchester United ace Dimitar Berbatov signs shock deal to join Indian side Kerala Blasters
Bulgarian will reunite with former team-mate Wes Brown and old coach Rene Meulensteen
DIMITAR BERBATOV has signed a shock deal to sign for Indian side Kerala Blasters.
The ex-Manchester United ace joins the side on a one-year deal after his contract at PAOK Salonika came to an end last summer.
Bulgaria's all-time record scorer has teamed up with Rene Meulensteen who worked with the 36-year-old at both Man United and Fulham.
And now he will be looking to forge a fierce strike partnership alongside former Leicester striker Iain Hume.
Marshalling the Kerala Blasters' defence is Berbatov's former team-mate Wes Brown.
Kerala, who are owned by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, announced the signing on Twitter with a compilation video of Berbatov's illusive career.
Alongside the video they included the caption: "Golden touch, turns like a dream & deadly finish.
"The Bulgarian Hitman is set to take ISL by storm."
Berbatov moved to the Premier League in 2006 when he joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen.
