Jean-Michael Seri’s agent reveals PSG have contacted Nice ‘just to p*** Barcelona off’
The Catalans are yet to agree terms with the in-demand midfielder, allowing the French giants to join the chase
PARIS SAINT-GERMAN are determined to destroy Barcelona's chances of signing Nice ace Jean-Michael Seri, according to the midfielder's agent Frank Mala.
He has claimed that the French side have only shown interest in the 26-year-old to "f*** Barca."
Following an impressive spell in Ligue 1, the 26-year-old has attracted interest from a number of clubs - including Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal.
However, Barcelona are looking the most likely side to secure the Ivorian's signature with a £36million move.
An official deal is yet to eventuate between the two clubs, which has allowed PSG to join the race.
The player's agent Franklin Mala told RAC1: "It was possible to reach an agreement as Barcelona and Nice were negotiating.
"On Tuesday, they were in France, talking about technical aspects but they already knew Seri's capabilities.
"PSG came three days ago. Now PSG is putting pressure on the club to take the player, it's crazy. They just want to do it to f*** Barca.
"They called the president of Nice and it is only for one reason: to annoy Barca.
"It was Seri's dream because Barca is a great club," he concluded.
The two European giants have been at loggerheads during this transfer window, which ignited when PSG refused to do business regarding Barcelona target Marco Verratti.
Seri has a £36million release clause written into his current contract.
The versatile midfielder shot to prominence after breaking into Nice's first team in 2015 and excelling in Ligue 1 last term.
However, a move to Barcelona was reported to be '90 per cent complete'.
