As Sanchez waited for his work permit, which has now been approved, Poch kept him entertained by showing him who was boss in a training session.

The Argentine gaffer revealed: "I challenged him.

"Yesterday. We were playing a box and he was inside and the ball was in the air and me, bam, and he fall, and me with the ball."

The Spurs chief is already known to be a father-like figure to his younger players, as Victor Wanyama and Dele Alli have confirmed in the past.

Pochettino admits to enjoying players with a personality and it looks like Sanchez is showing his fast after joining the club just a few days ago.

Poch said: "What caught our attention with him was when he arrived at Ajax from the beginning he showed his quality, started to show his character and personality.
