Barcelona still want Philippe Coutinho and Angel Di Maria despite the £138m signing of Ousmane Dembele
BARCELONA will not give up on their chase for Philippe Coutinho and Angel Di Maria despite signing Ousmane Dembele, according to reports.
The Catalan side forked out a stunning £138million to land the Borussia Dortmund forward on a five-year contract to make him the second most expensive player ever.
Liverpool have kept their foot down over the sale of Coutinho despite the Brazilian handing in a transfer request.
The Reds have been forced to reject three offers with the latest reaching £118m.
But in the latest twist in Coutinho's future, the 26-year-old has reportedly told Jurgen Klopp he wants to be left out of Liverpool's Champions League squad.
The report claims Barca are ready to test Liverpool's resolve with a new offer just five days before the transfer window shuts.
And a move for Di Maria is still not out the question.
But a move to the Nou Camp is only realistic if Kylian Mbappe completes his move from Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona will need to sell players in order to balance the books so they don't fall foul of Uefa's Financial Fair Play initiative.
Arda Turan is up for sale alongside Andre Gomes and Thomas Vermaelen.
