Clarke-Harris claims the racial abuse happened after the full-time whistle as Bradford work with the police to find the culprit
BRADFORD CITY are investigating claims that Rotherham striker Jonson Clarke-Harris was racially abused after their League One clash.
Clarke-Harris took to Twitter to claim that a Bradford fan aimed "monkey chants" at him whilst he was warming down after the full-time whistle.
He wrote: "To that one Bradford fan doing monkey chants at me as I was doing my runs at the end off the game, you should be disappointed in yourself."
The Bantams, who won the game 1-0, will now work with the police to try and identify the supporter.
A statement posted on Rotherham's website regarding the racial accusation said: "Rotherham United have been made aware of an allegation of racial abuse towards one of our players from a home area of the ground after the game against Bradford City at the weekend.
“Like ourselves, our friends at Bradford City do not tolerate any form of discrimination, and as such we have been informed that the allegation has been passed onto the Police and is now under investigation.
“Rotherham United operate a zero tolerance policy on discrimination of any kind, and will fully assist in any way with any ongoing investigation into the incident.”
One fan who was at the match said to Clarke-Harris on Twitter: "I saw it lad completely out of order."
