'not good'

Manchester United’s flurry of late goals are flattering them says club legend Gary Neville

Nine of United's 16 Premier League goals scored this season have come in the last 15 minutes of matches

MANCHESTER UNITED favourite Gary Neville was left far from impressed with his former side's performance despite putting four past Everton.

The Red Devils scored three late goals to cap off a convincing win but Neville thinks the results are papering over the cracks.

Neville, who is a pundit for Sky Sports, was asked whether it was a "very good Manchester United performance."

But the 42-year-old was quick to suggest that United are being flattered by a flurry of late strikes.

He said: "No it wasn't a good performance, there's a bit of a pattern building though in terms of getting in front and then being patient.

"Sometimes they're even retreating a bit with a couple of defensive substitutions. The other team then gets desperate and United score goals late on in the game.

"It has happened two or three times now this season, I think Jose is renowned as being a patient coach and his team look like they have the maturity to be able to handle it."
