Red Bull Cliff Diving Series sees divers perform death-defying jumps off a historic 90ft bridge

DIVERS in Bosnia perform death-defying leaps from a 90ft bridge.

Daredevils from across the globe have flocked to the eastern European country for the Red Bull Cliff Diving Series.

And a bridge in the historic city of Mostar has become the main attraction of the competition.

It allows for stunning views all around as brave athletes attempt to successfully dive off it.

The bridge is known as the ‘Stari Most’ and literally translates as ‘old bridge’.

It’s stood in the town for a whopping 450 years, having been built by the Ottomans in the 16th century.

It stands above the river Neretva, which connects the two parts of Mostar.

And Stari Most is also one of the last traces of Islamic architecture still remaining in the Balkans.

Saturday’s round saw Brit Gary Hunt win, landing his second victory of the season.

It allowed Hunt to move first in the overall standings, with Steven LoBue finishing second and Nikita Fedotov taking third.
