It comes just days after Carlo Ancelotti was sacked by the Bavarian side following a 3-0 Champions League defeat by Paris St-Germain.

Thomas Tuchel is currently seeking his next managerial role after he was dismissed from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Tuchel led Dortmund to victory in the German Cup title, parted company with the club after two seasons in charge.

The German coach has had admirers over the last few months from the Premier League, Southampton back in the summer and most recently West Ham - he's a man in demand.
