WWE Raw results: The Shield will face Braun Strowman, The Miz and The Bar at TLC
After the bone crunching drama of WWE Hell in a Cell, the superstars of Raw are already looking towards to next brutal PPV – TLC on October 22
AFTER the bone crunching drama of WWE Hell in a Cell, the superstars of Raw are already looking towards to next brutal, daredevil pay-per-view – TLC on October 22.
With that event just weeks away, here are five things we learnt from Raw last night.
The Shield are reunited
The show opened with the moment fans have been waiting for – Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose back together as The Shield.
They interrupted Miz TV in the opening, which saw the IC champ handing out Mizzie awards to Curtis Axel and Sheamus and Cesaro.
But the Hounds of Justice cut the ceremony short and laid out all four men – but saved their trademark triple-powerbomb for The Miz.
It was fun, even if the Shield reunion should have been saved for an earth-shattering WrestleMania moment.
The trio were excited to be back together and even sported brand-new Shield t-shirts backstage.
That was quick – they’d only reunited five minutes earlier.
But it will be The Shield v The Miz, The Bar AND a fourth partner at TLC

Sun Sport predicted last week that it would be The Shield v Miz and The Bar at TLC – which Kurt Angle confirmed backstage. But another Monster was added to the mix too.
Braun Strowman demolished Matt Hardy in singles competition, before attempting to throw Hardy through the Raw set.
But The Shield (each of whom Braun has attacked in recent weeks) appeared to stop him – and put the giant through the announce table with their triple-powerbomb.
Miz later told GM Kurt Angle that he was holding The Shield to their word that they’d face any number of opponents – and announced Braun would join him and The Bar at TLC.
Bray Wyatt is Sister Abigail
Finn Bálor was faced with another (supposedly) terrifying image of Sister Abigail last night, when Bray Wyatt appeared on the big screen.
But it looks like Sister Abigail won’t be an actual female wrestler, as most people initially thought, but actually Bray dressed up as a Sister Abigail alter-ego.
WWE clearly wants a Norman Bates in Psycho vibe. But the idea of Bray Wyatt wrestling in a dress feels more like Mrs Doubtfire.
Does that mean we’ll see Doubtfire v Demon at TLC?
Asuka has an opponent for TLC
Sasha Banks, Bayley, Emma, Alicia Fox, and Dana Brooke competed in a Fatal 5-Way elimination match to determine who faces Asuka at TLC.
There was another altercation between Banks and Bayley, fuelling even more speculation that the pair will soon fall out and “The Boss” will turn heel (the sooner the better).
Emma got the surprise win after last eliminating Banks with a crafty rollup – meaning she’ll go on to face the “Empress of Tomorrow”.
But it’s nothing to celebrate. Emma will be jobbed out to Asuka in minutes, possibly even seconds. It’s a poisoned chalice for poor Emma.
Kalisto is the new Cruiserweight Champion
Kurt Angle surprised Enzo Amore by cancelling his Cruiserweight title defence at TLC against Kalisto – and scheduled it for the main event of Raw instead.
Enzo sold the new like a champ. Kudos to his new heelish ways as well – it’s proved just how good he really is on the mic.
Angle had another surprise for Enzo. It would be a lumberjack match, with the rest of the cruiserweight division surrounding the ring.
(The handful of comparatively small wrestlers dotted around the ring didn’t have the visual impact of the standard lumberjack match though.)
Kalisto won the match with an impressive Salida del Sol from the top rope. Enzo may have lost but we have to say fair play – he has made the Cruiserweight division feel relevant.
