Former Manchester United boss David Moyes reveals first choice is return to club management… but he would consider Scotland job
After five months out of the game, Moyes has indicated his interest in becoming the future head coach of Scotland but would rather a return to club management
DAVID MOYES has revealed his first choice would be a role in club management - but he is interested to talk to the Scottish FA over the Scotland vacancy.
The former Manchester United boss has had five months away from the game since quitting relegated Sunderland in May.
Scotland are searching for a new boss following Gordon Strachan's departure, with FA performance director Malky Mackay put in interim charge.
Gordon Strachan left his position as Scotland boss by "mutual consent" on Thursday, four days after the team failed to qualify for the World Cup.
Moyes has indicated that he would consider the vacant Hampden Park hotseat if he was approached by Scottish football's governing body.

“I don’t think anyone ever turns down their national team opportunity, but I think it has to be at the right time,” the 54-year-old told .
“My first choice would be to go back into club management, but if Scotland want to talk I’d be happy to speak see what they’ve got to say.”
Moyes also stated that he believes the next Scotland boss should be Scottish.
He said: "Scotland have looked at managers from abroad and I still think the best choice would be a Scottish manager.
