WWE fans were fearing the worst for Kurt Angle during his victorious TLC return
The 48-year-old had his supporters watching with baited breath as the six-time world champion was put through a table
AFTER 11 years Kurt Angle made his return to the WWE ring to unite with The Shield.
The Olympic Gold medallist along with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins picked up the win against team of The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Kane, and Braun Strowman.
Angle was only drafted in to be in the pay-per-view main event after Roman Reigns was ruled out with a viral infection.
The Raw commisioner rejoined the company back in April as he was inducted into the WWE Hall of fame.
And fans were fearing the worst for the 48-year-old during the early stages of the match.
One Twitter user wrote: "Was anyone else thinking here "Please don't kill Kurt Angle"? #WWETLC."
Jimmy Clarke said: "Please don't let Kurt Angle get hurt. I'm so worried."
Geoff Rhymer pleaded: "Please don't get Kurt Angle an injury in this match!!Β #WWETLC"
But he was still running powerslamed through a table by Braun Strowman and taken out of the match.

But the six-time champ returned later on and saw off Sheamus before Angle Slamming Cesaro through a table.
As The Shield regained the upper-hand, The Miz was left in the ring for them to deliver and Olympic Shield Bomb.
And it looks like Angle made it through unscathed as he tweeted his thanks to the WWE universe later on.
