TOTTENHAM have stepped up their pursuit to sign Celtic ace Kieran Tierney.
Mauricio Pochettino sent a top European scout to watch the 20-year-old in action against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Although Munich triumphed 3-0 against the visitors, the left-back put in a good display at the Allianz Arena.
Spurs have been long-term admirers of Tierney, but he has attracted a wide range of interest from a host of Europe's biggest clubs.
Tottenham scouts viewed him at the start of summer against Astana and have been monitoring his progress since.
Pochettino will be viewing the Scottish youngster as a potential replacement for Danny Rose - who is slowly returning to fitness after an injury.
Speculation continues regarding Rose's future with the north London outfit after he hinted that he was ready to leave last summer.
Celtic veteran John Hartson valued the defender at around £20-25million earlier this year, but believes that Tierney should stay with the Hoops for another season.

The 20-year-old still has four years remaining on his contract at Celtic Park.
Manchester United sent a scout to monitor the defender in action last month against Paris Saint-Germain as Jose Mourinho's defensive crisis continues.
