CRISTIANO RONALDO’S girlfriend has been admitted to hospital to give birth to their first child, it emerged on Sunday.
Georgina Rodriguez, 22, is at the Hospital Quiron Universal in Madrid near the footballer’s home on nearby gated VIP estate La Finca.
Respected news website El Espanol said doctor Ines Tamarit, the expert gynaecologist who is due to help bring Alana Martina into the world, had arranged for Georgina to be admitted.
It was thought her first child - and Cristiano’s fourth - would be born around November 21.
But the date is said to have been brought forward because the footballer is enjoying time off as he is not taking part in his country’s pre-World Cup friendlies and has no club matches either until next weekend.
Other respected Spanish papers including ABC and El Pais also said they had confirmed through hospital sources former shop worker Georgina had been admitted to hospital to give birth.
Hours earlier Cristiano, 32, posted a picture on his Instagram site showing him enjoying a night out with his girlfriend and friends including Portuguese footballers Jose Semedo and Miguel Paixao.
Half-Spanish, half-argentinian Georgina, who comes from the Spanish Pyrenees city of Jaca, told glossy Spanish mag Hola in August how she was preparing for the birth of Alana Martina on a strict Mediterranean diet.
Cristiano told Hello Magazine last week being a father was an amazing experience.
He expanded his family in June with surrogate twins Eva and Mateo, born in a US hospital and brought back to Madrid where he lives by his doting mum.
His eldest son, seven-year-old Cristiano Jnr, is also thought to have been born to a surrogate mum in the States.
Speaking ahead of the launch of his new line of clothing CR7 Junior Collection last week, the Real Madrid striker said: “Being a father is a unique and personal journey, something that has changed me completely.
“It’s taught me things about love that I never knew existed.
“It has softened me and given me a different perspective on what is really important in my life.
“I can’t wait to be a dad again. Being a father and seeing my family grow is without doubt the greatest privilege I’ve had.
“Spending time with them, being by their side, smiling and laughing with them. They’ve brought a lot of happiness and joy to my life.”
