Sam Burgess and co reached the semi-final of the last tournament before a last gasp loss to New Zealand.
But they will hope to get the job done in the last four this time around and book a final place against hosts Australia.
Their Pacific Island opponents have impressed so far, winning every game to pip New Zealand to the top of Group B.
The Tongans then dramatically held out to beat Lebanon 24-22 in the quarter-final.
When is the Rugby League World Cup semi-final between England and Tonga?
England take on Tonga on Saturday, November 25.
The match will kick-off at 5am UK time.
That's 6pm in Tonga and New Zealand and 4pm in Sydney.
It will be played at a 30,000 sellout Mount Smart Stadium, in Auckland.

England vs Tonga will be live on BBC One and Premier Sports.
