Tyson Fury news: Heavyweight boxer fails to turn up for UKAD hearing in London in hammer blow to hopes of ring return
The Gypsy King has said for months how desperate he is to get back into boxing, but this certainly won't help his case
TYSON FURY has failed to attend his UK Anti-Doping hearing today, according to reports.
The 'Gypsy King' has said for months how desperate he is to return to boxing after being stripped of his licence to fight.
Getting the all-clear from UKAD is the first step of this, after he failed a drugs test after he defeated Wladimir Klitschko and later admitted taking cocaine.
But more than six hours after the hearing was scheduled to start in London today, Fury has not shown his face.
SunSport reported on Friday how the 29-year-old was set to discover his boxing fate when meeting with the UK Anti Doping panel after the initial hearing last summer was adjourned.
Testers are said to have found traces of the banned steroid nandrolone in a sample of Fury’s urine back in February 2015.
His cousin Hughie has also been charged with the same substance, but both fighters deny the accusations.
Fury also faces a four-year ban for refusing to take part in a random test 15 months ago, and his hopes of regaining his suspended boxing licence are on the line.

The self-styled ‘Gypsy King’ claims he is aiming to make a comeback at some point next year.
Fury had been tipped to fight Tony Bellew before his rescheduled rematch with David Haye was confirmed, although his top choice is new British heavyweight ace Anthony Joshua.
