And Will Grigg was certainly on fire when he put the visitors ahead after a 5mere 146 seconds.

Former Manchester United youngster Powell  celebrated a second Latics goal when his 29th minute free-kick hit Emerson Hyndman in the wall and looped into his own net.

In the second half Bournemouth looked to have found their form.

Lys Mousset fired the ball into the top right corner, from the right side of the goal, at 55 minutes.

Just four minutes later his second right-footed shot, this time from the centre of the box, was blocked.
