'Expensive bench warmer'

Chelsea fans are delighted that Alvaro Morata is out of the team as they score two goals in first six minutes

There is no love lost for the Spanish international as fans take to social media highlighting their side's form without their £58m striker

ALVARO MORATA appears to have fallen out of favour with Chelsea fans, who took to twitter to share their delight at their side's performance without the Spaniard.

The 25-year-old may be quietly sitting on the sidelines serving his ban, but his side are demonstrating some impressive play without him and fans have been quick to shout about it.

Chelsea aren't missing their top goal scorer, who himself is out of form and without a goal since Boxing Day, as they scored twice in the first six minutes against Brighton.

Fans were quick to note how 'well and clinical' the Blues were performing without the Spanish striker.

The defending champions looked solid and well polished in the opening minutes and certainly didn't look a side who were desperately searching for a new striker.

Their second goal was Chelsea at their best, as Eden Hazard flicked the ball to Michy Batshuayi who back heeled a point-perfect pass to Willian who then fired the ball into the net.

There is no love lost for the Spanish striker, who joined Chelsea in a £58m move last summer, as fans took to social media highlighting their side's form without him.

Many hailed him an expensive bench warmer, as others called for Conte to replace him more permanently.

Morata has been subject to a lot of criticism on social media, following his behaviour in Chelsea's FA Cup clash against Norwich.

He came on in the 81st minute, but didn't even last the entirety of game.

The Spanish striker was booked for an outrageous dive in the box and when he attempted to argue his case he was given a second yellow for dissent.
