Liverpool ace Daniel Sturridge set to have West Brom medical ahead of loan move after snubbing Newcastle
The England international is in pursuit of first team football after falling out of favour at Anfield and could be going back to his Midlands roots
LIVERPOOL striker Daniel Sturridge is set to undergo a medical at West Brom ahead of a loan move for the rest of the season.
The England international had fallen out of favour under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield and could now be heading back to his Midlands roots.
Sturridge is yet to put pen to paper, with both parties in the process of agreeing personal terms.
The 28-year-old is expected to sign on loan until the end of the season after struggling for game time at Liverpool.
Newcastle opened late talks with the England international, but the Baggies look to have beaten them to the mark.
Toon boss Rafa Benitez reportedly spoke to the striker in person but the move did not materialise.
Sturridge attracted a wide range of interest after admitting his desire to leave Liverpool earlier this year.
Internazionale, Sevilla, West Ham and Inter Milan were among the sides that had indicated their interest in the striker.
