Arsenal star Mesut Ozil signs new three-and-a-half year contract to become club’s highest paid player on £350,000-a-week
Fresh terms keep him at the club until 2021 and end any rumours he was set to join Alexis Sanchez at Manchester United in the summer
ARSENAL star Mesut Ozil has reportedly signed a new three-and-a-half year deal worth £350,000-a-week.
BBC Sport's David Ornstein has claimed the club have ended any uncertainty over the German World Cup winner's future by agreeing terms with the club.
The news will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans as it means Ozil will not leave the club on a free at the end of the season.
It was feared the former Real Madrid star was going to follow in the footsteps of Alexis Sanchez and ditch them.
The Chile forward moved to Manchester United on wages of £505,000 a week.
But after a disappointing night for the Gunners with their 3-1 loss to Swansea, they have now had some good news after tying down Ozil and finally landing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.
The Gunners this morning confirmed the £56million signing of Aubameyang.
