CELTIC and Rangers are battling it out over a cut-price deal for Sunderland’s Ethan Robson.
The Scottish giants have both shown interest in snapping up the 21-year-old midfielder in a bargain summer signing when his contract expires.
Robson will cost just £150,000 in training compensation if he leaves England in the summer.
But the youngster’s market value is around the £2million mark after his emergence at the Stadium of Light as a huge prospect for the future.
Robson came through the Sunderland Academy and has made first-team appearances after captaining the Under-23s.
But he has not agreed a new contract committing his future to the club, sparking interest in other clubs taking him this summer.
Robson has made four Championship appearances this season, including starts against Birmingham and Hull in January.
He has also played in EFL Cup and FA Cup games.
