The Cherries were out-pressed and out-fought by the Terriers up north, and now return home knowing that they are still not safe from the drop.
Newcastle arrive in buoyant mood following their 1-0 win over Manchester United and are hoping for back-to-back league victories for the first time since early September.
When the two teams met earlier in the season, the Cherries ran out one-nil winners thanks to a last-gasp Steve Cook goal.
