Gary Neville labels Emirates atmosphere ‘toxic’ as Manchester City run riot over Arsenal while Twitter users blast him for holding back opinions
The Manchester United veteran was slated for his commentary during Arsenal's Premier League clash with Manchester City
GARY NEVILLE labelled the atmosphere at the Emirates as "toxic" as Manchester City ran riot against Arsenal.
But some online users slated the Manchester United legend for holding back his true feelings after he was criticised last weekend.
Arsenal fans were not happy as Neville was selected to commentate on their Premier League clash against Pep Guardiola's side.
And during the game, he said: "What a bad night. They are terrible, it's toxic in here."
The former United defender ruffled a few feathers when he criticised the Gunners after their 3-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup final.
But some fans are certain that Neville was being reserved as he delicately picked apart Arsene Wenger's men on Thursday evening.
Neville went on to add: "Forgret about Arsenal.
"Manchester City have scored three absolutely brilliant goals.
NO1 AND ONLY David De Gea is United's 'only world-class player', says Gary Neville
"They are unplayable."
Arsenal were humiliated on home turf, with City boasting a three goal lead after just 33 minutes.
After Arsenal's Carabao Cup defeat, Neville said: "An absolute disgrace they are, an absolute disgrace."
And it appears that the former England international is yet to win back the support from the Gunners' fans.
