PREMIER League ace Nathan Redmond was stopped from buying booze after a row over his girlfriend’s ID.
The 23-year-old Southampton and England winger dropped into a supermarket to pick up groceries with partner Emma Milton.
The pair were asked for ID after swiping a bottle of red wine at the self-service checkouts.
And while £35,000-a-week Nathan showed his, Emma — also 23 — did not have hers with her.
The store refused to let them buy the alcohol because she could not prove she was over 18.
The Saints star and Emma paid for the rest of their shopping but left the bottle at the Tesco Extra in Winchester, Hants, on Thursday night.
Emma was said to have fumed: “I’m never shopping here again” as they left.
A source said: “It was snowing and she couldn’t be bothered to go to the car to get her ID.
“She didn’t have it on her so he could have been buying alcohol for someone underage in the staff member’s eyes.
“The rules are the same for everyone.”
An onlooker said: “Nathan seemed pretty embarrassed by it.”
Ex-Norwich ace Redmond declined to comment.
