CHRIS WOOD came off the bench to inspire Burnley to victory – on a day of shame for the Hammers.
The Kiwi striker, on for Jeff Hendrick in the 61st minute, set up Ashley Barnes for the opener five minutes later before netting two himself.
But the game was marred by ugly scenes as West Ham’s fans protests against their board turned nasty.
Hammers skipper Mark Noble wrestled one pitch invader to the ground immediately after the Barnes’ strike.
Thugs then brawled with stewards as hundreds of fans stormed an empty concourse in front of the directors’ box to protest against chairmen David Gold and David Sullivan and vice-chairman Karren Brady.
Angry supporters chanted “Where’s our money gone?” and “Get out of our club” as well as aiming personal abuse at the three execs.
Another protestor got on the pitch, ripped up a corner and tried to place it in the centre circle before Burnley star tripped another Hammers’ yob who ran on to the field after the Clarets’ third goal.
Before the game, less than 50 fans marched from the site of the Irons’ former Upton Park ground to Stratford in protest about how the club is being run.
On the pitch, West Ham were the better team until Burnley scored.
But the Hammers are now likely to face an FA probe into the scenes that shamed the club on the day they marked the 25th anniversary of Bobby Moore’s death.
