WWE star AJ Styles injury scare ahead of WrestleMania 34 after limping out of live show
Current champ was hit with multiple chair shots on his leg by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and had to be helped backstage by officials
WWE superstar AJ Styles had to be helped backstage with fans fearing he may be injured ahead of WrestleMania.
The Phenomenal One was set for tag-team action at the live event at Madison Square Garden in New York with partner and Mania opponent Shinsuke Nakamura.
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens ambushed the pair from behind and began a brutal assault.
That included targeting the WWE champion's leg with multiple chair shots in the ring.
The referee then reportedly waved the 'X' sign to the back which usually indicates a wrestler is legitimately injured.
Styles is then pictured being helped backstage by WWE officials and struggling to walk on his leg.

But there was some positive news as it seems Styles came back out but was still limping.
He made the save on Nakamura who was being beaten by Zayn and Owens.
This seems to indicate that Styles will be fine for his dream match against Nakamura on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
The clash against the King of Strongstyle is seen as one of the best on the card and most anticipated by fans.
