Football fan scoops £1million Super 6 jackpot after Sheffield Wednesday take the lead in the 91st minute
Jacqueline Packham, from Hailsham in East Sussex, bagged Jeff Stelling's famous gold briefcase- she is only the second winner in the game's history
SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY's injury-time winner not only bought them some much needed breathing space, but bagged one lucky winner £1million.
The last gasp winner came from Atdhe Nuhiu and enabled Jacqueline Packham from East Sussex to scoop the Soccer Saturday Super 6 jackpot.
That meant three points for the Owls and one million reasons for Jacqueline from Hailsham in East Sussex to celebrate.
The football mad fan correctly predicted the scoreline for six fixtures this weekend but admitted she had never had any luck with Super 6 before.
Ms Packham said: “I’ve never got anywhere close before, I love football, love West Ham, but I’ve always been rubbish at Super 6, until today.”
She called three of the Premier League scorelines and three Championship games, which included the goalless drawn between the Blades and Nottingham Forest, as well as the draw between Brentford and Middlesbrough.
West Brom's woes turned out to be one of the six reasons that Ms Packham scooped the million, as she correctly guessed they would lose to Bournemouth, 2-1.
The 59-year-old joked that it was like the Only Fools and Horses story line, she said: “I play Super 6 with my brother and always said to him as a joke ‘this time next year, we’ll be millionaires’, like Del Boy and Rodney, now it’s true!”
Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling now has to hand over his famous golden briefcase for only the second time in the game’s history.
But it took Ms Packham a while for the news to sink in, she said: “I got the call from Super 6 and I thought it was a scam, these things never happen to people like me.
“It’s absolutely wonderful, amazing, I still didn’t believe it after seeing it on TV, I still don’t now!
