He said: "Last night I was extremely low and shouldn’t be like that tbh.

"Bit unprofessional but seeing my friend like that truly broke my heart.

"He’s one of the best men I know he really is.

"He’s healthy and safe and there’s more to life than boxing.

Price, 34, put in a valiant effort during the Povetkin clash, pulling himself off the floor in the third and nearly knocking out the Russian.

But the 2008 Olympic bronze medallist came unstuck, and social media users pleaded for him to retire for his own safety.
