DILLIAN WHYTE has called Deontay Wilder "deluded and confused" over his disturbing comments that he wants to kill a man in the ring.
The WBC champ made the chilling comments on US radio insisting that he turns into an animal when he becomes the Bronze Bomber and wants "a body on my record".
Wilder's comments did not sit well with the boxing community as they came just a month after the tragic death of Scott Westgarth.
Now Whyte has come out to condemn Wilder for his comments and questioned the American's mentality.
Speaking after Anthony Joshua defeated Joseph Parker for the WBO title, Whyte said: “When you put a fighter like Lucas Browne like I did last week it is worrying.
"I celebrated at first but when I saw he was down I was worried because people have kids and families to go home to.
“I don’t know how Deontay Wilder’s head works, he has not turned up here tonight because he heard I was coming.
"I don’t understand his mentality, he is a weird guy, he is extremely deluded and confused.
“He has told me I will have to wait two years for my shot at him but the WBC is a respectable belt and they will force the mandatory soon and make him fight me."
Wilder is being lined up for heavyweight unification showdown with Joshua later this year with the world desperate to see the two in the ring.
