WrestleMania 34: Zlatan Ibrahimovic WWE appearance ruled out as LA Galaxy announce line up

WWE fans have their dreams of seeing Zlatan Ibrahimovic make a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 34 crushed by LA Galaxy.

The MLS side host Sporting Kansas City and they named the former Manchester United striker on the bench, meaning he will not appear in the New Orleans Superdome.

Ibrahimovic, 36, had his odds slashed to be at the Showcase of Immortals and to get involved in some capacity.

But the game at Galaxy's StubHub Centre home kicks at 2am our time, with WrestleMania set to end at 5am.

That means it is virtually impossible for Zlatan to get from LA to New Orleans in that time.

Rumours of Zlatan making an appearance appeared on social media and fans were excited by the prospect.

Ibrahimovic has been enjoying life the other side of the pond after completing his move to Galaxy last month.

He scored on his debut for LA Galaxy with an incredible goal in the first ever LA derby.

Ibrahimovic then scored the winner in injury time to make sure he was an instant favourite with the fans.

He also took some time to watch the LA Lakers court-side as he gets to know the city.
