GEORGE GROVES is ready to face Callum Smith on July 7 after revealing he has fully recovered from his shoulder surgery.
The 30-year-old is due to defend his WBA super-middleweight belt against the Liverpudlian in the World Boxing Super Series final.
Both men were scheduled to face each other on June 2, but after Groves dislocated his shoulder during his points win over Chris Eubank Jr, he applied for a one month extension.
Taking to Twitter, he said: "This week underwent a 6 week post-op CT scan on the injured shoulder which I’m VERY pleased to confirm has healed perfectly.
"All united and good to proceed as planned! So a July 7th @WBSuperSeries final is possible provided a 1 month extension is granted."
Groves underwent surgery at the end of February, as he left the Manchester Arena with his left arm in a sling following his horrific injury.
