Gunners boss Arsene Wenger stated earlier this season that he was concerned about the 25-year-old's track record of illness after ongoing issues.
The German midfielder has missed six games for the Gunners for this reason in 15 months.
And fans flocked to Twitter to voice their frustration after finding out that the German star would be unavailable again.
One furious supporter said: "Ozil is ill again... I've never known someone to get ill that many times in a year honestly."

But others suggested that the 25-year-old was recovering from a broken heart after Wenger announced that he will be leaving at the end of the season.
