Haye vs Bellew 2: Michael Buffer to announce Chelsea vs Liverpool 24hours after introducing mega-fight
Ring announcer and boxing Hall of Famer has one of the most famous voices in the world
BOXING legend Michael Buffer is a busy man this bank holiday weekend.
Buffer, who owns one of the most famous voices in the world, will be at the O2 Arena tonight for David Haye and Tony Bellew's rematch.
The 73-year-old - who trademarked his catchphrase 'Let's Get Ready to Rumble!' - will then make the trip across London... to Stamford Bridge.
That's right, Buffer will introduce the teams when heavyweight rivals Chelsea and Liverpool square off in SW6.
Buffer wrote on Twitter: "Next up Bellew-Haye 2 battle and in less than 24hrs on the pitch at Stamford Bridge to intro Chelsea and Liverpool players for another battle!
"Let's get ready to rumble!"
Buffer, a Vietnam War veteran, didn't become a ring announcer until 1982 - aged 38.
He had previously held various jobs, including as a car salesman and model.
Buffer was the first ring announcer to travel the states, with previous promoters using local talent.
His catchphrase grew in enormous popularity, helping cement his place as boxing's go-to announcer.
By 1992 he had trademarked the catchphrase - and has earned an estimated $400million in his career because of it.
Sugar Ray Leonard once remarked that: "When he introduces a fighter, it makes him want to fight."

Buffer has now become something of a voice for hire, appearing in a range of sports away from boxing.
He had a long stint in professional wrestling with WCW and has also appeared in WWE.
Over his career he's also introduced baseball's World Series, NHL's Stanley Cup Finals, the NBA Finals, NFL play-off games and the UFC.
He's also appeared in a number of Hollywood films - notably four Rocky films - as himself.
