ARSENAL have been given a boost in their pursuit for Andre Gomes after he was reportedly left behind from a pre-season trip with Barcelona.
The midfielder has not travelled with his current teammates on their North America tour.
The rumours suggest that the Portuguese midfielder is close to confirming his exit from Barcelona this summer.
Spanish outlet claim that Arsenal and Juventus are both interested in signing the 24-year-old.
Barcelona have valued Gomes at £17.6million (€20m) , however neither clubs are willing to meet that price tag and will be looking to bid slightly less and a deal could be reached for £15.9m (€18m).
Gomes will only be allowed to leave Cam Nou for a permanent deal.

Gomes arrived at Barcelona in 2016 from fellow La Liga side Valencia for a fee of around £33.3 million.
Yet after two seasons at Barcelona including 78 appearances, Gomes has failed to impress.
He has only scored three goals and assisted four during that time, which isnt enough when playing alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Gomes may need a fresh challenge and a change of club, in which the Premier League could be the move for him.
New boss Unai Emery has had a very busy summer so far at Arsenal.
The Gunners have added five new players to the squad including Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.
Yet Gomes could be the final touch of creativity Arsenal need for their season ahead.
