Who is RoShaun Williams? Teenage sensation named in Manchester United’s pre-season tour squad
19-year-old defender will travel to the United States with Jose Mourinho's team as first-team stars recover from World Cup
ROSHAUN WILLIAMS has been named in Manchester United's squad for the pre-season tour.
The talented youngster has emerged as a promising prospect under the management of Jose Mourinho.
Who is RoShaun Williams?
Williams, who was born in Whalley Range, is one of seven youth-team players that will be travelling to the United States.
The English star has previously been called up to Manchester United's first-team.
He was named on the bench for cup ties against Liverpool and West Ham in March 2016.
Williams broke into United's Under-18 squad as a 15-year-old and made his Under-21 debut as a 16-year-old.
Two seasons ago Williams spent six months on the sidelines with an injury, but he successfully recovered.
As a youngster he revealed that Ryan Giggs is his hero because he stuck with United.
What position does RoShaun Williams play?
Williams is a powerful centre-half that dominates the defence.
It is safe to say that not many strikers will be able to outpace the 19-year-old.
At the age of 15, he blitzed Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell's 25-year 100 metre school's record at Ashon-on-Mersey by clocking in at 10.99 seconds.
Surprisingly, he had never run competitively before because he had been focusing on football.
