Loris Karius backed by Iker Casillas as Real Madrid legend posts video of his worst blunders in solidarity with Liverpool stopper

IKER CASILLAS continued his support for Loris Karius by posting a video of his own worst blunders.

The under-fire Liverpool goalkeeper has been continuously trolled after his two costly errors in the Champions League against Real Madrid.

Casillas attempted to silence the critics by posting a compilation video of his own mistakes.

The 50 second clip showed the Real Madrid legend being caught off his line, losing possession, getting lobbed and making the wrong decisions.

It was captioned: "Behind each one of us, there is a person.

"Raise your hand whoever has never made a mistake.

"Learning from mistakes makes us stronger and accept them more human. #Ialsomakemistakes."

But the video did not stop the fans criticising the goalkeeper, with one stating: "You have done a mistake reel in your whole career. I have more clips of Karius in 2 years than you've got in 10 years."

Another added: "Well mate at the end of the day if a keeper keeps giving away goals through mistakes and doesn't ever win you games, he's not good."

Earlier this week, Casillas tweeted: "Will this attack on Karius ever end?

"I talk about him like so many other goalkeepers. F***, there are are a lot more serious problems in the world.

"Leave the kid alone. He is a person as well, as we all are."

He may have the support of the Spanish legend, but the goalkeeper's days in Merseyside could be numbered.

Karius has fallen down the pecking order following the £67 million arrival of goalkeeper Alisson from Roma.

The German star revealed that he was kept in the dark about the new signing and admitted his future with the club is uncertain.

Karius would have been hoping to put last season behind him, but he has already let in soft goals against Tranmere and Borussia Dortmund during pre-season.

Liverpool are set to axe first-team stars this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to trim his squad.
